Today kicks off March Madness at Meinders Community Library! We’ve put together a bracket with some recent favorites in Historical Fiction, Mysteries and Thrillers, General Fiction and Romance, and by Minnesota Authors. There will be multiple ways for you to vote for your favorites: with the polls on our blog, in our Facebook stories, and at the library. We will post new match ups every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in March.
When you vote for your favorites and engage with our Meinders March Madness posts, you’ll be entered into a weekly drawing for local gift cards. Thank you to the Pipestone Area Friends of the Library for providing the prizes!

Meinders Community Library will be closed Wednesday, February 22 and Thursday, February 23 due to the inclement weather.
We will do our best to remain open through this week’s wintry weather, but if conditions seems questionable, give us a call before you make the trek at 507-825-6714. Because of the weather and the President’s Day holiday on Monday, we will likely not get Plum Creek delivery until Friday. If we do need to close, we will share on our blog, Facebook page, KLOH radio, and the city of Pipestone.
Our next Teen Cafe is Saturday, February 25th from 7:00-8:30pm. Teens can hang out at Meinders Community Library after hours. We’ll have karaoke, snacks, and more! TikTok sensation JamesG will also join us for Heelys antics and digital music creation. This event is for teens grades 7-12 and the doors to the library will open at 6:50pm.
Meinders Community Library will be closed next Monday, February 20th in observance of President’s Day.
Join us this Tuesday, February 14th at 3pm for a virtual chat with Minnesota author, Lorna Landvik at Meinders Community Library. Landvik is the author of ten novels, including the best-selling Patty Jane’s House of Curl, Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons, Oh My Stars, and Best to Laugh.

Join us this February for Plum Creek’s Wrapped in Reading Author Tour! Every Tuesday in February we’ll have a virtual program from a different Minnesota author. We will be showing all of these author programs live at the library on the big screen. Treats provided by the Pipestone Area Friends of the Library.

There will be no Storytime today, Tuesday, January 24th. We will have a special Saturday Storytime this week at 10:30am on January 28th.
