Join us at Harmon Park next Tuesday, July 12th at 6pm for our first Stories on the Square! TikTok sensation JamesG will entertain us with his Heelys antics and original music and serve as emcee for the evening.
We also invite community members to show off their tattoos and share the stories behind their custom ink during the open mic portion. If you don’t have a tattoo, tell us about your friend or relative’s or what you dream of getting inked someday. We’ll have prizes for the audience’s favorite story and librarian’s choice (we love a literary tattoo) and temporary tattoos for everyone else!
This event is free and for all ages. Thank you to the Pipestone Area Friends of the Library for sponsoring the event and providing treats.
If you’re unable to attend or prefer to avoid public speaking, we’ve included at contact form below so you can still share your story. Pictures are also welcome! If you’d like to read the picture book that inspired this event, Tell Me a Tattoo Story by Minnesota author Alison McGhee is available to check out at Meinders Community Library.
