Featured Artwork and Wednesday Crafternoons

When you visit Meinders Community Library, you will see some new artwork on our walls, courtesy of the Southwest Crisis Center. January is Human Trafficking Awareness month and their youth program participants made art to educate about the dynamics and impacts of human trafficking. Stop by and check out this powerful artwork created by local youth!

Today is also our first Crafternoon! From 1:00-4:00pm, drop in and create with fellow arts and crafters of all ages. Each week we’ll feature a new project or you can bring something you’re already working on, explore Creativebug for online classes, or tinker with our makerspace supplies.

Inspired by our art from the Southwest Crisis Center’s Youth Program, this week we have supplies for you to create your own poster collage. You could highlight subject you’re passionate about and want to bring awareness to, create a vision board to guide your year, or just see where the process takes you!
