Just a friendly reminder to our resident book lovers that Meinders Community Library is closed on Thursday and Friday for the holiday. We will resume service on Saturday, December 26, and will be open from 10am to 2pm.
That said, all my weather apps are calling for a snow storm tomorrow, so don’t put off a visit to the library in case we close for inclement weather. If you haven’t hopped on our digital platforms yet, now is a great time to try them out. Doing so, can save you from getting snowed in without anything to read.
As a reminder, our winter weather policy is as follows.
- When Pipestone Area School runs two hours late, Meinders Library will open at 10am.
- When PAS closes early, the Library will close 30 minutes later.
- If PAS is cancelled for the day, the Library may also be closed if travel to and from the Library is deemed unsafe or roads are impassible.
Closings will be posted as possible on the radio, the newspaper website, our Facebook page, and our blog. If in doubt, please call ahead. We would rather have you safe at home without a new book to read than stuck in snowdrift.
Check out our Quick Links page to get all the information you need, or call us during regular hours for help.
Stay safe, stay warm, and read your way through the holiday season~ jody
