Spooked At Meinders

Halloween came early to Meinders Community Library in the form of our newest escape room adventure. It was the first time we hosted an escape room in the entire library. Set up like Clue, teams had to use the process of elimination to find everything from floating books to howling wolves, as well as a series of horror-writing authors past.

Over 175 brave souls from 2nd grade to granny-aged joined in the mischief at Meinders Mansion where Mr. Boddy was found scared to death.

Not Pictured, but still important!

  • Stacy’s Stars (astronomy class)
  • Wendi Weber’s 2nd Grade Class
  • Jen Evans’ 2nd Grade Class
  • Jennifer Farrell’s 2nd Grade Class (will go through November 1st)
  • Kris Reinhard’s 2nd Grade Class (will go through November 1st)

Tramping through the dark with lanterns and flashlights was a definite highlight for many. The experience has definitely inspired us to consider another full library escape room in the future. Until then, we’ll keep the monsters locked out of the library and firmly between the covers of our mystery novels!
